Initially established as Bristol Rape Crisis in 2008, SARSAS is a specialist mental health charity supporting people of all genders who have experienced rape, sexual assault, or any form of sexual abuse at any point in their lives. Alongside our frontline services including counselling for sexual abuse survivors, groupwork, helpline support, and specialist support work, we deliver expert led, trauma-informed workplace training that helps organisations create safer, more inclusive workplaces. Our sessions cover core topics such as sexual harassment prevention, consent training, bystander intervention, and healthy relationships, as well as specialist subjects including non-fatal strangulation awareness, spiking, and responding to disclosures with confidence and care. Our expert, trauma-informed facilitators work alongside survivors every day, ensuring training is practical, empathetic, and grounded in real experience. Participants gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to prevent sexual violence, respond effectively to disclosures, and foster cultures of consent and respect. Training also explores how environment, language, attitudes, and organisational culture can influence abuse, equipping learners to create safe spaces and inclusive workplaces where everyone feels supported and empowered to speak out. By choosing SARSAS, you are not only investing in safer workplaces. Every session also supports our vital frontline services. Our vision is a world without sexual violence, and every action, every conversation, and every change we make helps create safer, more respectful communities for everyone. Together, we can prevent sexual violence.
