In 2021 more businesses were registered in the UK than any other year preceding it. Start-ups now form the fastest growing business sector and the 2020’s have been dubbed the “decade of the start-up!”.
But if history is anything to go by a staggering 96% of these businesses will remain as Micro-Entities – billing less than £632k a year and hiring fewer than ten employees. 75% will remain as owner-managed businesses with no employees whatsoever.
Why is that?
What challenges and choices prevent most businesses from pushing past this point? What sacrifices must business owners make in the search for scale?
What practical strategies can owner-managers implement in order to move closer to seven-figures and beyond?
In this seminar, join Joel to discuss the growing pains surrounding the first million in revenue, and what lies beyond!
Perhaps you want to move from a lifestyle business to a larger commercial venture? Maybe you’re toying with the idea of hiring your first employee, or first salesperson?
Or is owning a multi-million-pound business on the bucket list?
If so, this seminar could be for you!
Joel co-founded his first business, print agency Clone Media, in 2010. It took almost five full years to achieve the business’s initial ambition of invoicing £1m. From then growth snowballed and the company doubled in size every two years. In 2020 Clone Media placed 714th in the FT1000: Europe’s 1000 Fastest Growing Companies.
In 2020 Joel co-founded employee engagement business Swagpack. The business hit seven figures within nine months of launch, expecting to double in size in 2022. Swagpack was named New Business of the Year at the Inspire Awards in 2021.
Before starting his own business Joel spent five years as a sales professional. Since then, over a decade of entrepreneurship has given him extensive experience in sales, marketing, business growth, strategy and leadership.
Joel brings positive energy and enthusiasm to projects he’s involved with.
